Carnaby Black Cockatoo
Found only in south-west Western Australia, Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo is one of Australia’s most threatened cockatoos. These noisy, social birds travel in flocks and rely on native woodlands for food and nesting.
You’ll often spot them flying overhead with slow, powerful wingbeats or feeding on banksias, hakeas and eucalyptus seeds.
