Eastern Rosella

The Eastern Rosella is one of Australia’s most colourful parrots, with its brilliant mix of red, yellow, green and blue feathers. These cheerful birds are a familiar sight in forests, farmland and suburban parks across eastern Australia.

You’ll often spot them feeding on the ground in pairs or small family groups.

    Eastern Rosellas usually choose one partner for life. During the breeding season, the male even feeds the female while she’s incubating the eggs inside a tree hollow.
